FAQ's
Here you can find all frequently asked questions about our riversurfboards.
The biggest difference between riverboards and conventional surfboards is that no additional volume is required on river waves to paddle into the waves. When surfing river waves, the board is in a glide phase right from the start. In addition to the volume, boards for the river and for the sea also differ in construction. Concrete walls and water depths of just a few centimeters in some cases represent a hostile environment for surfboards. For this reason, riversurfing boards are usually not made with brittle polyester resin, like conventional surfboards, but with epoxy. To further strengthen particularly vulnerable areas such as rails and finboxes, we use high-tech composites such as Innegra from aircraft manufacturing.
